My hen is sick

My Barred Rock - 2 year old hen has a full feeling vent. It's soft and mushy unless she contracts her muscles. She doesn't have an egg in there that I can feel. She started walking around with her tail down a few days ago. Now she's sitting at the food and water area most of the day. I've seen her eat and drink, but I haven't seen her poo. This morning it took her a long time to get off the roost when I let the girls out. She's quite lethargic and only moves when she has too.
Does anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong? She's really changed her behavior as of late. Sorry, I don't have pics. She's not fond of me and she wouldn't let me handle her for long. She's also my Roo's favorite girl, and he protects her to his detriment some times.
Please let me know what this could be so I can help her beyond an Epsom salt bath if she'll let me. Thank you.

She also had a lot of poop stuck to her feathers which I cleaned off. She seemed to appreciate her cleaning. I've put her back out with the flock and she laying down again. She hasn't laid in days.
