I'm confused, my hubby & our neighbors say to take away her egg or eggs, "it's too soon for hatching."I was thinking I'd wait and see what she does in the next few days, then chuck the eggs if I don't see temps rising.
sATURDAY AFTERNOON: hen was sitting as low as she could hunker, actuall groweled at me! Sh did sip a few drops of water. I decided to grab her and put her in the outdoor coop. There were NO EGGS! She must be one confused lil' hen, or she's wanting to be a mom so very bad, she's having phantom broodiness? Is there such a thing in hens?
She's munching the feed & scratching in the straw as usual with her roo out in the coop now. She looks normal.
