I have one buff Orpington rooster “rooster man” and one beautiful Easter Egger “Merica” who recently mated. And afterwords my hen seemed to be playing “dead” wouldn’t move! She even looked dead! I keep watch on them all times considering all my chickens are free range. So I watched them mate and he didn’t seem ruff.... but I didn’t see her move at all. So I ran outside quickly to check. As soon as I touched her she bounced back to and ran away??!! Has anyone had this happen before ?! May it could be the size Of the rooster. He’s too heavy. I just don’t know. Pics below.
