I have never posted a question here but all of your advice has been priceless!! I have a year old amurcana " marilyn" she has been a great layer, fiendly too. Always the hen the kids pick up. The past 2 days I have notice she is sitting in the run? Today I put them out to free range. This is really the first time they have been out of the run in a few months. I thought she would be ok. No, not following the flock, sitting in the yard. She has clear eyes, poop seems normal. Crop is a little large but all the girls seem to have a large crop? I rubbed it gently, she was not happy about this. I have no idea what is going on? I prepped the kids she might not mak it?? ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I feed them a layer mash from the local feed store, they also get eggshell, little scratch here and there and some table scraps nothing too crazy the past few days. No i have never wormed the flock? they are a year old this month and a small isolated flock only the 5 of them. She laid tuse nothing yesterday... not unusual for her though, she can go every other day sometimes. How do i check for lime/ mites??? I have had no issues with any of them until now? This is my girls favorite girl too

Forgot to add she is a blond chicken so her feathers around her vent can look dirty, but hey look stuck together, ahe did have 2-3 eggs with blood on the outside of the shell, read that could be a little tear/ burst vessle. Like the egg was a little too big? Still worried. Should I pull her away from the others?

I would keep an eye on her, check for illness ect... first, but i have had a hen that did the same thing for a few days she did not keep up with the flock and seemed sleepy, I took her in side gave her electrolyte solution in her water and feed her some treats with some vitamins and she did fine in two days, seems perfect. I think she ate something that did not agree with her, her poop was a little loose those two days. hope she is ok
