geberally one rooster to about 10 hens
and then some will not be his favorites
yes roosters have favorite hens and those are bred every day several times a day
but if he has more to choose from it may help out the ones that he treads a lot

besure and put the new hens in at might by setting them on the roost poles and then they all get up together
you might try going out the next morning early and feeding a treat so they all have something to think about instead of hurting the new hwns

My rooster is a bit aggressive sometimes and I've read that that will be a factor.

Thanks Glenda. I was wondering how I was going to introduce them to the rest.

And thanks everyone else for the advice. Once my barred rock pullets get old enough, I'll put them in with the rest of the gang.
