My hens just started eating Lane pellets and do not like them

I have switched between crumbles, grain mash & pellets at will over the years & never had chickens refuse to eat any of them. Never mixed either.

I'm also curious about the date/mold etc. chickens are not very picky in my experience. There is less they won't eat than what they will!

Also, try a different brand. I like to use the Purina omega-3 pellets from tractor supply or another organic feed, and they seem to like that. I also add brewers yeast, garlic powder, oregano, kelp and DE to their feed and they love the taste! Hope that helps [/QUOTE]

My girls don’t like pellets at all. They prefer crumbles. My girls also seem to turn their beaks up to anything other than Purina. So I buy Purina crumbles and they are happy chickens.
