My hens should be laying soon and theres blood in poo?

All my hens are the same age and should be laying within the next couple weeks. (hopefully). I noticed a single dropping that has a little blood in it? is this the cocci or does it have something to do with the possibility of them laying soon?

keep an eye out for more blood (could be either or could be cappillaria worm which can also cause blood in faeces...cocci usually affects only younger birds )

We had friends who were losing their flock suddenly just before laying. It was cocci. Thanks to the folks on here, I was able to help them treat with Sulmet and save most of the birds. They finally got eggs 3 weeks later. It was an over crowding issue that was causing the pen to become dirty. They took care of that problem immediately.
