Unless she seems depressed maybe this is her natural sound?

So the question is what is she doing when she makes the squeak?

I have a ButterCup that mades a sound like she is being attacked.

The first time I heard it I ran out to see what was happening.

Now I know it is just her "voice."

Go figure.

Ours bark like a small dog when they eat too fast....does she squeak when she is eating?

I have an americauna that quacks!!! This chicken has always been strange. She is really small, sneezes alot (always has) and doesnt lay. I dont know if her quacking has something to do with all of her other "issues" or not. I keep her around because she seems to struggle in life. Nobody picks on her she just seems to be the chicken that couldnt!

Some of mine squeak and even sneeze when I give them crack (cracked corn).

I had one pullet we named Wheezy because she made a bad squeaking/wheezing noise. I was concerned that whatever was wrong might mean she had a respiratory problem that would make her susceptible to illness that could spread through the flock, so when it was rooster culling time we sent her to freezer heaven, too. When I was cleaning her we saw she had a little extra cartilage in her windpipe. Just a simple difference that gave her a unique "voice." I think she would have been fine.
