My Hermit Crabs ^^

They're like potatoe chips, you can't just have one

Literally, they need company LOL In the wild, they live in colonies that have up to 100 crabs

They are so cute. I decided to get one a few years ago because I think they are cute and thought it would be fun. So i went about setting up a perfect habbitat and then went off shopping and picked one out. Only to get it home and realize that I was terrified of it. lol I loved the idea of having one, but once it was home and traveling around I realized that to me it looked like a spider in a shell and I just about died lol. I kept it for about a month, the first day it was in my bedroom, but then I couldnt sleep because all I could think was spider in a shell. I didnt want to give up on the poor thing so I tried to force myself to love it. Well it didnt work and a month later I found it a great home with someone who had 14 in a 50 gallon tank. Two and a bit years later she still has it and its her friendliest one lol. Sorry long story. Funny thing is I still think they are cute, just not in my house lol

Hahaha thats funny. My aunt and mom think the same thing, they're like get that away from me!!!!!!! And I just walk around with them crawling all over my palm hahaha Glad you find an awesome home though!​

I had a hermit crap once..his name was spike. I loved spike..but then spike died. Thats my poem for hermit crabs

No but seriously i found spike in the florida keys and i thought all crabs liked the waer so i shoved him in the ocean and then 10 minutes later i went back to check on him and he was up on land so i called my daddy over (I was like 6 at the time) and he said that one likes land so we took him home and he lived with ringaling my sisters crab in a ten gallon tank, then we make this huge wire cage that was AMAZING!! Then spike murdered raingaling and then spike died molting..i never know how old he was..I would love to see your setup for them because i LOVED spike and i would love to get a spike JR!!
