My home made feeder and water systems.

I made same feeder also screwed a garbagecan lid to the bucket lid so rain dont turn the food to mush. I have been wondering what I was going to do for watering system now I just need to know where to get those nipples.??

Here is one supplier of the nipples........am sure there are others......

I would get the nipples from Neil Grassbaugh, he is a member here on BYC. He sells the nipples cheaper than the bigger companies and the shipping is really reasonable. I got 12 of them from him for less than $20. Do a search for his name on BYC.

Sorry, no more pics. See where the 1/2" pvc is leaving the bucket and gets attached to the 2" pvc? Where the two connect is threaded. Empty the bucket, unscrew that, and it come apart. A similar pair of male and female fittings attach the 1/2" pipe to the bucket, but I added a rubber gasket (hose washer) there.

I second getting them from Neil Grassbaugh here on BYC. He was easy to reach on email and the nipples were somewhere close to $1.85 each and shipping was $3.00. They're working great. If you search "nipple waterers" he frequently posts with helpful information on setting the system up.

hey Dogfish, great pics! Thanks for sharing pics with us. I am getting ready to make a nipple water system with a rubbermaid 3 1/2 gallon cooler and pvc pipe, I needed something that would keep the water cool when I add ice to the water.. will take pics to share when I build it.
