My house is the new roost?

My chickens ever since being introduced to their house after the brooder have never given me issues going to bed. Like clockwork I can go out at the same time every night and close up the coop. Tonight though for some reason I open my back door to find the whole lot waiting for me.

Any idea whats going on? How to encourage them back to their own house? Also while typing this they decided I was the roost.

Size of their coop and number of the flock? Does the coop have proper ventilation?
I have a second bigger coop in the works but their current one is still plenty big enough. When they are all inside they barely take up a fith of the space. Less when some use the roosting bars. I extended the roof height in the spring to give more head space and better ventilation also.

Just because they take up 1/5th of the space doesn't mean the coop is big enough or has proper vents.
