My how they've grown!

I got some 'scovy ducklings at a day old about three weeks ago. They were so small then that they kept squeezing through the holes in the baby corral we used as a temporary fencing for them (curious lil buggars!). Anyway, today they were let out to free range with the big girls. They've grown so much that it takes two hands to hold them now! Seems like they have doubled in size every week! There are 11 of them, and I'm hoping

that there is a couple of drakes in the batch, 'cuz at the moment, all I have are female ducks! Wish I could post some pics of them, they are the absolute cutest ducks in the world!

Don't they grow FAST??? I got my first ducks 7 weeks ago. I figured I had lots of time to get their pen done. I remember having chicks inside forever........I was blown away by how fast they grow and what a mess they could make! They just went outside a few days ago. If I ever get babies again, I'll make sure they can head outside in a couple of weeks! Full grown ducks inside was not fun for me! I got real sick of shoveling wet sloppy poo pooed shavings outside. Now I just have to hose down the mats, and I love them again!

I think ducks are the first animals I have ever had, that I was actually looking forward to them becoming adults fast...........I think they are more fun when they are adults. That's a first for me, usually I wish my pets would stay babies forever!
