My husband bought ducklings

We have a small farm with 17 acres with ponds. My husband has always wanted ducks but I know from breeding sheep that we are surrounded by coyotes and ducks wouldn't last long. Ive done really well with my chickens, by letting them out of their run only when I'm outside, which is a lot. So this weekend I gave in and he bought ducklings. I'm building an enclosure with paddle pool in the back yard for them. I read up quite a bit too. We were told that these little guys were Spanish Ducks. Just wanted to confirm that. They are doing well, currently in the basement, love water and their special food. Also, any idea how old they are? I hope to get them outside within a couple of weeks

They sure are adorable but can’t say I’ve ever heard of Spanish Ducks.

Blue Swedish! I would say around a week or two, you might find this thread helpful for integrating your birds outside.

@BigBlueHen53 to the response that you deleted. I wasn't laughing at the OP, I was at, what I assume are the feed store clerks, who told her this nonsense. Type up Spanish ducks, and all you will find is rubber duckies dressed up in Spanish attire.

There's no such thing as Spanish ducks. I agree that they look like Blue Swedish ducks and are one or two weeks old.
