Hi from central Victoria. I've recently had a chicken run built around an old coop and this week we brought 6 girls and a gorgeous rooster into the family. Although new to keeping chooks, I absolutely love it and am spending a lot of time just sitting and watching and enjoying our new pets. I look forward to becoming a part of this massive chicken community. Thanks.

Welcome Bull Pit,
I have lawn chairs in my coop and run and I sit with my flocks everyday. I thought I was crazy but thanks to BYC I know I am not alone lol we are all crazy about our chickens. Best of luck with your new flock.

Sometimes the chicken bug bites deep and other's do not
get affected at all so you might want to keep an eye on the
addiction or it can get out of control and with out a chicken's
anonymous group federally funded your recovery is not
likely the worse problem is others see it but the infected
pour soul hasn't a clue

Chickens are so much fun to keep! They can be very rewarding and also give you peace of mind while sitting there watching them.

Enjoy your new flock and welcome to BYC!

I just broke the news to my husband that I hope to be a hen enthusiast and that I'd have to keep my chicks indoors for 8 weeks. He said that was fine, but he wants a new computer. Lawl...
