Since I lost 11 members of my flock at the first of this month, I ordered some chicks from Ideal to fill out my small flock and cheer myself up after losing my favorite bird. I was a little disappointed that Ideal was out of blue cochin pullets on shipping day, but I was impressed that they were nice enough to call and ask if I still wanted the male. (Of course I did, my little guy has been exited about fuzzy legged blue chickens since the day I placed the order!) Anyway, they all arrived today happy and healthy and absolutely adorable! I want to try and take a picture of each of them each week so that I can see how they change each week. I need to work on my lighting and flash a bit, but here they are:
