These are some of my ideal chicks. I ordered 25 Cornish bantams, so I do know who they are. The thing is I also ordered 6 surprise special and 6 standard assorted. I asked what the difference is besides ten cents but never got a clear answer.
I am pretty sure the 4 white chicks are leghorns. I took one photo since they look alike.
I have never ordered from a hatchery before and always got them from local people or tsc. I am happy with my experience so far!

That would be a nice add to my mixed flock. :) just hope it is a hen. I have two Roos at the moment and they get along great with each other and my hens.

Here are some updated photos. Not the greatest. I think the whites are leghorns? They are just so much bigger for being the same age. The black one has an interesting beak.
 I tried to get two photos of each. They didn't want to cooperate.

I know it isn't polish. But the spitz... I didn't think came in solid black. Went to google search pictures. They sure do! Better get some better photos of his profile... Hmmm
Thanks so much. :)

Well, I know that Ideal carries Crevecoeurs which are an all black crested breed. If your black chick starts looking like this...

And then like this around 5 months.... then they are most likely Crevs......

These are pictures of the 2 Crevecoeur roosters I bought from Ideal last year. They are a very pretty bird but aren't really good egg layers or good meat birds, so just pretty much ornamental as Ideal Crev's are way off their SOP.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be keeping an eye out. :)
I'm all for variety in my flock. I am not so concerned with high production. I would be in trouble if all my hens laid eggs every day!
