Sawzall is great for pallets, saws right through the nails if you're ever in the mood for a lazier way.![]()
But then you've still got the metal in the boards.
If they were still nailed rather than stapled it wouldn't be a problem, but all the pallets we've gotten (DDIL works for a local magazine and gives us all the pallets we need for intact-pallet purposes), are stapled.
Works with those too,and you tap the metal out with a hammer.
If you pry slightly before you saw you have enough left sticking out to tap.
My coop is pallets, nailed and stapled hubs works in a textile mill so I got a mixed bag, some were terrible!
I love this it is so cute I love the tin roofYou might be crazy, but you are DEFINITELY awesome!!!I too love building things, especially scavenging and up cycling materials! One of the reasons it is so fun building for animals, they don't care what it looks like'1 Lets us get our creative juices flowing. Here's a guinea coop I built from pallets and 2x4s!View attachment 2174375
Keep it up girl! Nice nest boxes. Looking forward to some more pics.
I just cut them with wire cutters or just leave them and cut through themMaybe I'll set the 14yo onto the task as an experiment.
Like most teen boys he likes destroying things and if I let him have some of the boards for his projects in the woods he'd probably be willing to do the work.
Thank you so much! It's actually pvc roofing. I wanted to have some clear so the sun can shine through. So far the guineas are lovin it.I love this it is so cute I love the tin roof
