Very, very sorry. You loved her while she was with you, and she spared you a situation in which you had to end her life. Many hugs to you and your kiddos. A tiny funeral sounds very appropriate...I always go with burying under a plant I'm planting so I can think to myself that now a tiny part of that little creature is in the new, thriving plant. <3
thats a really nice way of looking at it, thank you. I buried her next to one of my bearded iris plants. I plan to put a little stone on top too after I find one. My dog was very upset, she sat there for a moment after we all came inside. I watched of course to make sure she didn’t do something bad! But seemed like she was just sad and saying goodbye. She had been by my side everytime I tried to feed, water, make a new brace, etc.
Thanks everyone, I’d be pretty lost and way more upset if I didn’t have your kindness right now.
