I'm unsure if this is the correct area to post this question, but I bought a lot of brahma eggs earlier in the year hoping to bring in some fresh birds to my flock, only one developed so I had to add a couple extra from my own flock so he wasn't a lone hatch, anyway, turns out he's a lovely cockerel, I've been in need of a new boy so I decided to keep him, his wings seemed fine as a chick now hes about 7 months and I noticed his wings dont seem quite right when he opens them, I'm unsure if the feathers are there and just misaligned or of they're missing entirely, so I'm just looking for a second opinion as obviously he'll have to be delegated to pet status if it is split wing or something genetic. (Baby photos of wings open included)

That looks like a classic example of split wing. If some of his feathers are still growing in, the axial feather might (it's often one of the last, but most birds have full plumage at 7 months plus it looks like there's a gap there, but I don't know Brahmas well.

I would say he's fully feathered at this point, thank you for the response, I assumed this was the case but I've never seen it before so thought I would get a second opinion. Looks like I'll be on the hunt for a new male then, we'll keep this one as a pet regardless as my husband adores him.
