Well, I've been faithfully lurking this website for while and now that things are in motion, I figured I would join. I will be starting on my coop shortly and I should be getting my chicks in a couple months' time!!!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Slightly new to owning them myself. My parents lived on my Grandfather's farm when I was very little and I spent my teenage years in the country.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None as of right now, but that will change in a little while!
(3) What breeds do you have?
I plan to own Seramas, particulary the Frizzled kind, as that is what is available where I live, and what I have space for
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Im a very outdoorsy person and enjoy riding atvs, camping, boating, fishing, crafting, cooking, and spending time with my family!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I currently am Mama to two wonderful Siberian Huskys and a German mutt, two rescue kittys, and one trailer park kitty (who just had babies of her own, I am a very PROUD Grams!) I currently work for a remodeling/plumbing company in lovely south florida and I spend most of my free time with my wonderful family and fiance and without them I would be lost and things would be very boring!!!
