My Introduction :)

Well @AndThenThere'sReba, we are celebrating you returning to be a SAH mom! Not many kiddos get that blessing anymore so enjoy every moment with them. You are going to have sooooooo much fun with your chickens. They can fight like kids, mess their "room" up like kids, crap on things you don't want crap on (not like kids, lol)....but then there is the other side....they will love you and get excited to see you (especially if you train them with treats), they will bring gifts (eggs), they will bring heartache at some point in your life (like kids).....but mostly they will make you want more beautiful eggs, different breeds and you don't shell out as much money as you do with human kids, No College funds either! Welcome to BYC family....we are so excited you joined us :wee

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I am fairly new to chickens, I got my first girls in February 2017.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

I have 6 hens.

(3) What breeds do you have?

My rescued lady is a Rhode Island Red. My other 5 are likely Hybrids (Pinterest calls them Red Stars and the breeder calls them Cimmarons or something).

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

Searching things about chickens on Google.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Taking care of my 4 kiddos and husband. I also like to watch cooking shows!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I am married with a blended family of 4 children, 2 yours, 1 mine and 1 ours...but they're all MINE! :) I also have a 3 year old "Blue Heeler" (Australian Cattle Dog) named Roxy. I am 25 work days away from being a Stay at Home mom again! I tried this whole coming back to work thing and I feel like I need to be back with my kiddos! Also, my screen name is because we had 5 hens "Country, Fried, Pop, Corn, and Chicken" then our rescue came into our lives . . . and now there is Reba!

Ask any questions you'd like, I don't bite! lol
:welcome

@Leighe
Thank you for the sweet note!! Everyone always laughs at me and says my Hens are actually dogs because all they want is attention. Reba is even starting to come up to us more often. My kiddos love going out and spending time with the hens, too. I most definitely feel blessed to have the opportunity to go back home to my kids, and Sept 1 needs to HURRY on up! lol
