My introduction

My name is Roy, I'm 70 years old, a retired heavy equipment mechanic, and my former pastime was old tractors, Ford N series basically, but my health has forced me to a less stressful hobby. I had chickens before, about 125 at one time, and always wanted to get back in them. So me and my son, 16 years old,{adopted my grandson at birth}, are getting involved, a real father, son undertaking. We just built a new hen house together, and as we speak he is finishing the wire on a chicken run we made.
We are planning on more birds later, we got a incubator and we are dying to try our luck.

Hey there Roy Welcome to Backyard Chickens I grew up on a farm cattle farm chickens where around from when I can remember people came weekly for the eggs and milk and Moms cheese's good way to grow up for all great of you to raise your grandson
