(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
- Not new, I've had chickens and other fowl for about 5 years now!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
- 13 grown hens, 1 rooster, 18 pullet chicks
(3) What breeds do you have?
- Variety: Silkies, Buff Orpington, Australorp, Cinnamon Queens, Barred Rock
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love to see how productive they are and to watch how beneficial they are to our land (spreading manure, pest control)
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I have a small ranch, so I am often out with our cattle and hogs. I do however also enjoy bike riding and running!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
-I have a few lovely dogs and cats, and like I mentioned previously: cattle and hogs. I love to work with my family to better our land and the animals that live on it. I am excited to expand my knowledge on poultry!!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finall
- I found BYC after looking up a question I had about my geese!
