Hiya, and welcome to BYC!!!

I had switched my chickens to Kalmbach's Henhouse Reserve, and they did that, picking through what they wanted. So, I switched them to Kalmbach's Layer Crumbles, and the henhouse reserve is now their "treat" I throw a handful in the yard every couple of days. What they don't eat, the wild birds do. It's a win/win now!
