So folks know I do art, I have quail, conures and cockatiels, but I've not mentioned my little brat, Winter. She's a purebred italian Greyhound and is my service dog. She's going to be 3 years old in July. She's too smart for her own good, being able to pull DVDs off my tightly packed DVD shelving... and books off the shelf. It's her way of saying 'feed me mom' or 'I'm BOOOOooooOOOORED, ma'. She likes the birds and will reach out to sniff them regularly :) She respects the Conures, being nipped more than once when she didn't respect their territory through the bars of the cage. She's going bald on her back and behind her head. Apparently it's genetic, from having a blue gene. She's a burrower. SHe loves

snuggling under the blankets at night. I like to say she's not happy unless it's over 30 * C , LOL!!

Awww! Winter's a beauty, and she looks so comfy nesting in her blankets. :love
Thanks :) One of her more annoying (But cute) habits is to literally fling herself on me when we're about to snuggle. It's like being smacked with a pallet of bricks, LOL! Hard to believe a 13 pound dog can be so gosh darn heavy!

Winter is lovely! I bet she makes a perfect service dog. The Italian Greyhound was one breed I considered when I was searching for a new dog. I like their size, short coat, and affectionate personalities, but I decided against them due to their sensitivity to cold (we live in New England).

Thank you! Yeah, she hates our winters. I originally wanted a SIlken Windhound but the breeder pulled out of the agreement a week before the puppy was to be shipped to me. Lo and behold, someone suggested Iggies and there was a breeder here in Manitoba with a litter! The rest is history, LOL!
