We're on seven acres and have roads on two sides of us. I need to learn a lot about how far bullets travel, and everything else that goes along with handling firearms.

Thanks, that is helpful.I think boxes of .22 caliber rounds state that the range is 1 mile. Large centerfire rounds can go 3 or 4 miles. Maximum travel of shotgun pellets is around a couple hundred yards depending on shot size.

3 miles for high powered rifles and 1 mile for a .22.We're on seven acres and have roads on two sides of us. I need to learn a lot about how far bullets travel, and everything else that goes along with handling firearms.
Sorry, I don't know if leg traps are legal in CA or if you need a trapping license.Using a cage trap can make trapping a fox difficult. I put a leg hold trap in the spot where the fox was going under the fence and had success quickly both times I had a fox problem.
Snares are also very effective.Sorry, I don't know if leg traps are legal in CA or if you need a trapping license.
