Works with cats! We give out shirts but don't charge! We usually average that many for the week at our church...small town. Sounds like a load of boy to me! I got two of them...blessings! Just glad I didn't get a girl!

I hear that folks discipline them but I don't see how you could break their little hearts! I would have a spoiled princess! Guess God knows what he is doing

;)And now you know why my oldest is lovingly called the evil child --- I had boys I mean real boys - They still work as hard as they use to play -- I'd call another church get him into a different VBS - and let life go on - 4 is a great age to give the Bible stories and they enjoy it

I hope you thanked them for their very christain . caring attitude ?

Oh my over talkative child extra energy - wear out any teacher is npow A US Marine ROFl -- Life just throws curves the Kid they said would never be disiplined is a great Marine --

Trust your kid, not people who want him to be a little Stepford Child!

My son got kicked out of two daycares, dropped by several babysitters, and was a general handful at age 4. His father (a doctor) was adamant that the child WOULD NOT be medicated. I suffered the embarassment of being a regular in the principal's office up until he was 10.

Then he grew the heck up! Just went through puberty & turned into a young gentlman. He is in highschool - a good student, on the student senate, involved in sports & theater. And, you know what? We never rode him to do things to make us proud. He has made his own choices & they are good ones.

Hang in there! Delight in what makes him special.

When my son started preschool at 3 they had a question on the application - Is there anything we need to know about your child? I wrote something along the lines of...

"My son is a very good climber and needs to be watched very closely. I noticed you have a fence around your playgroud. Matthew can and does climb our 4 ft chain link fence around our yard to retrieve balls from the neighbors yard. He usually comes right back. Exept that time he was 2 and unlocked the deadbolts when we were all sleeping and went wandering the neighborhood at 7am. He often climbs the top bar of the swings and across the top of the monkey bars. I even had to get him out of our ceiling fan in the kitchen once. Yes, it was on the ceiling at the time. He can even climb up poles, like the one on a basketball hoop. Watch him on stairs, too. He recently strapped himself into the baby seat and tried to ride it down the stairs like a sled. He's really a lovely child and I'm sure you'll enjoy him."

He was THREE!!! All of that is true - he's quite a terror. They were terrified to take him, but they gave him a chance and he was very good for them. Not surprisingly, he was diagnosed with ADHD at 6 years old.

LOL my mom took me to a bluegrass concert when I was around 3 or 4 and my and brother and I just wouldn't sit still and she took her eyes off me for one second and I was gone. I crawled underneath every row of chair until I got to the stage and I crawled up the stairs and walked right across the stage while they were performing and the singing lady tried to ignore me and at the end of the song my mom had the guy off the radio show go get me because she was so embarrassed, and after the show a man walked up to mom and said "Its people like you that ruin the show.", and my mom said something along the lines of going somewhere that I can't say on this forum.

I have been a VBS teacher/worker for many years..I would have never turned a child away!! Even if it meant a one on one by me..I also have 2 boys..my oldest was a lot like Danno..very brite..I didn't think I would ever get him through school..now at 25 he owns his own Tile installation business and is a good kid!!

LOL he is truly a joy, I hate to say I'm "proud" of hos antics, and I try not to encourge defiance and outright naughtiness, but we do laugh at/withhim and he knows he is cute and loved very much. My mom just says "well he must know he's loved, he sure doesnt have self-confidence issues!"

I dont worry too much about him really, just thought it was hillarious that he got kicked out of a VBS program on the 2nd day. Heres the kicker...his little friend got kicked out about 2 hours later...and he is a sweetie too! Either they have some ill equiped adults running the show who only know how to handle 11 year olds, or my kid (who the daycare lady says is one of the best behaved ones by the way) really knows when he can pull stuff!
