MY ladies are sleeping and pooping in their laying nest! WhY???

mine are doing the same and it seems to be more down to just plain cuddling up to keep warm behaviour as it's the warmest part of the coop at night. I'm not too fussed about it and just clean them out in the mornings but then my chicks came from a barn where they would never have had roosts, just slept on a bare floor and this is their first experience of real winter temperatures.
