My Ladies have Mites?

UPDATE: Still fighting the mites, even after repeated sprays of Permethrin/Pyrethrin and my home-made coop spray. School has started for me, and I won't be able to be as consistent with the sprays as I have been. What do I do?
Would liquid Sevin in the coop work?
The mites are hiding in the plywood of my coop, should I re-paint and seal the wood to trap any bugs inside?
With winter coming on, and school in full swing, I don't think I'll be able to get rid of the mites this year...

When you spray the inside of your coop mix the permethrin a little on the heavy side and THOROUGHLY spray the inside of the coop, walls, ceiling, floor, on and under the roosts, inside and outside of the nest boxes and any and all crack and crevices. You must repeat spraying to kill any hatching mite eggs. Maybe stop your home-made coop spray. It takes awhile but will work if you are spraying enough. You can put the permethrin dust in the nest boxes and with protective clothing on, spray or dust the birds thoroughly. If they have special places they like to dust bathe, spray or put powder down there. Good luck...

Thank you! :)
