So sorry for your loss, I understand completely! I had my last Silkie rooster (who was an absolute love) snatched up by something VERY stealthy during the day, right by my clothesline! My only consolation was that he was not killed for fun (like a dog would do) but another animal just trying to survive.

I just lost my sweet Spice to a Fox and I know how you feel, it is so hard to lose a well loved chicken. I am so sorry.

Oh this thread is so sad! I just got 4 two week old Wyandottes a few weeks ago, and I am bringing them in at night because I’m still worried about them being too little to be out at night...that would make me mad if something happened to them! I am sorry for your loss.

So sorry for you loss. If you have a game camera, put it up because more than likely the predator has been lurking looking for opportunities and then you will know for sure what you are dealing with. Good luck.
