Finally getting around to getting my small greenhouse up. Have the one wall and door up. Hubby has been down and out with some kind of bug so, getting the windows up by myself has proven to be, to say the least, challenging (as evidenced by the nice size hole in one of my fingers when the drill slipped

). I hope to have the other walls up tomorrow and the frame for the roof done by Monday. Once erected, it'll get a nice, bright white coat of paint; shelves for plants for the interior and plants and other decorations for the outside. I also plan to put a little fence around it (to keep the horses away when we let them out in this particular field).

The one wall (one can hide a multitude of building sins with a little trim work.

)

Door (one of the panes needs replacing):

Most of the materials I've used thus far have been very low cost or free. So far, I'm about $80 into the project.

I love this idea. Showed it to my dh last night and he is totally going to make me one because ive been wanting a greenhouse for a while. Plus i have a ton of huge old windows from remodeling the house. And he wants to make it bigger. Yay! Post some more pics as you get it done please. Thanks.

in for more pics.

I just know my wife is going to put this on a future project/honey-do list eventually.
Build it for her, and there'll be an other project waiting... On the other hand, teach her how to use power tools, and stand back out of the way... A woman with power tools is an empowered woman!!! Spoken by the little old lady who built a green house last fall, and a tractor and a coop this spring... with yet more projects yet to be imagined!!!

I love your green house, especially the fact that you are re-cycling materials. What are your dimensions??

It's not too horribly big. Outside dimensions are approx. 5'x5'. Here are a few more pics. Haven't been able to get too much more done as hubby passed his case of bronchitis onto me. I did get the other walls up for the most part. Still have the solid portion of the back of the greenhouse to put up. Hope to have the frame and roof on next weekend; trim it out; caulk and get it ready for paint. Front and left side - the little window next to the door is on hinges and can swing open - there's another one that will do the same on the rear.

Here you can see the back (looking from the front); you can see where I still need to add the boards at the bottom portion:

It's not perfect but so far I'm liking it.
