My leukemia's back.

Having lived in the "big city" until recently, and having experienced first-hand what the Affordable Care Act has done to medicine, hopefully it won't be too long before some of the insurance issues, and medical care can improve, or at least go back towards what it used to be, which was much better.
Amen...... after having and paying for health insurance all my life. My wife lost her coverage under AHCA....... and it personally cost me $1300..... and my daughter $800 while they waited for the sign up window to open in December of that year (I think it was 2014).....i was okay cuz I still had the VA to fall back on..... when they finally got insurance the deductible was crazy....the AHCA was never supposed to work...... it was set up to fail and set us up for single payer.....love it or hate it its just a fact.

Happy 4th Everyone!

I'm one of those at risk of not having healthcare next year due to changes proposed by the current administration, so I'm watching what is happening with a bit of fear.

All I can say is that I am thankful we could buy insurance on the exchange that covered pre existing conditions, covered preventive care, and was less expensive than going directly to the insurer. Got all my screening tests done since who knows what will happen.

Insurance companies are out to make a profit. Patient care always comes behind that. After working the last 25 years in healthcare, I still don't know what the answer is!

Getaclue - I hope you get the treatment you need and sail through these chemo cycles with a minimum of discomfort!
I hope they don't do anything...... leave it alone. Move on.

Good afternoon team Rachael!

Well, it's in the low 90's here, unless it rains. We've had quite a bit of that lately too. Dh turned the dirt in the coop, I did all the other coop chores, and then we went swimming.

Was 76 here today... humid too.
I know that isn't hot for most of you all.
But was hot enough for me. Spent my share of time cooling off in the A.C. inbetween chores.
