My leukemia's back.

Heard you got snowed in down there! I wonder how much the truck stop at the Sinclair exit charges WYdot to close the interstate there.... :gig

Whatever it was, apparently it was enough!

We were supposed to drive to Cheyenne yesterday to go to my bro's house but with !-80 closed, that cancelled that. It's open again but not sure the conditions are looking much better.

Are you snowed in up yonder Cowley way?

We had a heck of storm move through starting at around 2 am on Friday morning. Little Diane fought it all the way down from Billings. Kinda weird for you guys to get hit this hard this early in the season - you usually get it worst starting in late January. Drag out those flannel lined jeans and park your hiney at the kitchen table with a hot cup of cocoa, Debby. I'm sure that 80 isn't much better today than it was yesterday. When WyDot sends out the Zambonies, they do a great job of polishing the ice so although they THINK they're helping "clear the roads", they almost make it worse!

We went down to Saratoga for a cornerstone ceremony last month and it was an awful drive!! One of the Masonic ladies who lives down there was keeping the rest of us who were traveling posted on conditions, and we no sooner got to Jeffery City (fighting high winds, blowing snow, and ice) when she informed us that I-80 had been closed. <sigh> Now what? From where we were all we could do was drive on. But then she told us that it was closed at the Sinclair exit, and that there was a highway patrol sitting at the top of the exit. All we had to do was drive past the 3 miles of semi-trucks and cars stuck on the shoulder of the road, go up to the patrol car blocking the entrance to the interstate, and tell him we were going to the cornerstone ceremony in Saratoga. He waved us to go on through but to be careful of the winds and blowing snow, and off we went. Can't tell you how odd it was to be the only eastbound vehicle on 80.

Ok, all I got out of this was that you were as close to us as Saratoga. And you didn't call or come see me!

Ok ok, I get it. The stinking weather!

I didn't realize until checking WYDOT yesterday that the fine for being on the highway when it was closed was $750 and/or 30 days in jail. Sheesh, I guess they really mean it when they close it.

Black ice is scary, had an encounter with that one year driving from Denver to KS. Don't really want to repeat that. DH is pretty cautious about traveling...if he decides it isn't safe, we'll stay home. I still don't have any flannel lined jeans but I have a hiney and some hot chocolate!

I think one off and one on. Kind of all blurs together now.

Yup, probiotics, grass fed, pasture raised organic plain yogurt, fermented pickles, prebiotic fiber, etc. Plus vitamin C and my random other supplements. I eat no sugar, no processed foods either.

Guess I could try castor oil packs or black salve to burn it out as a last resort
Dang Friday.... You need to sneak a Twinkie it two in there......:p

Seriously....I hope your Christmas is still Merry my friend.:hugs

It was all about the timing, Debby. We left Cowley early in on a Saturday morning, and the cornerstone was set to take place at 4 in the afternoon. So we were pushing it anyway, then the weather started becoming a real problem. We ended up getting stuck overnight in Saratoga, had to leave there early Sunday morning to get home, unpack, repack, and leave for Sioux Falls on Monday morning. If I'm going to pay you a visit, first thing I'll do is let you know I'm coming instead of just showing up, and second thing is plan a visit so we get to spend more time together instead of doing just a "pop in and back out"! Want to enjoy every minute of it!
