My leukemia's back.

I don't post here often, but read every day and keep up. I just wanted to say, Blooie it's great to see you! You have been missed.

Thank you @bobbi-j .... it's good be back. Shoot, at my age it's good to be anywhere! :yesss:

Good morning Team Rachel.

Blooie, so glad you're back. My dad had high blood pressure, and donated blood on a regular basis all his life. They used to give key chains for the gallon club, and 5 gallon club. I know, because he had them. Not sure if they do that now. They wouldn't let my mother donate, because of very low blood pressure. I can't because of the cancer, and anti-cancer drugs I'm on, otherwise I would. They can't use my organs for that reason. Dh donates fairly regular too.

Our house is kid central. I've got DD #1, and her 3 children, and my granddaughter from DD #3. They've been spending some time with me during the holidays. Last night we did a fire, marshmallows, and hay rides. They had a ball. Tonight is karaoke, after grandpa goes to work, with their new karaoke machine. I have ear plugs. LOL.

Sounds like a fun time with the kids, enjoy!

Thanks, @getaclue - it's nice to be back. My issue isn't the blood pressure, it's the blood thinners that keep my blood from forming clots. A simple blood test can take hours to stop seeping. Kendra sat on my lap for awhile at the family Christmas, and she wasn't feeling well so she kept wiggling to try to get comfortable but didn't want to put down. I have 4 bruises from that. :barnie I don't know if those thinners would have an impact on the person they would be giving my donated blood to - in most cases blood is given when the patient is bleeding heavily and needs the replacement so common sense tells me that blood which has been treated not to form clots wouldn't do that person much good. :idunno

Your talk of a houseful reminds me of what it's like around here. At one point or another, it seems that at least one all three kids have had to return to the coop for short times, and grandkids for even longer times. One day shortly after Tam and Evan came out here to live and hadn't found their own place yet, I was shopping for groceries. There was a younger woman there with what looked to be a "gear shift" family - you know, four on the floor? Anyway, the baby was crying, the toddlers were whining, and the older one was putting stuff in Mom's cart.....she looked up at me and said, "I have a consolation. I know that they are going to grow up and leave home." I looked at all the groceries in my cart and I told her, "I got news for you, honey....they multiply and come back!"

Good morning, Team! Another beautiful day in the Big Horn Basin - overcast with temps in the negatives. <sigh> Little Diane is leaving today, hoping to beat the next round of snow and winds. I always hate her leaving us so much, but never more than in dicey weather. So a few prayers for a safe journey for them, and for all the folks traveling, would be helpful.
