Windy tonight. No appreciable snow today. Next storm system comes through Monday. This cold is wearing me down.

I don't think we got above 0F today. Sch for 15 below tonight.

Supposed to hit -18°F tomorrow morning. But then it warms up to 12°F during the day and that will be the LOW for Sunday night/Monday morning Then 32°F during the day!! The next "low" low will be 10F on Wed morning.

It will be a heat wave I tell ya!

Nope no heat. They are hanging in the barn alley during the day, no interest in going out in the snow. By this point in winter it is the same temp inside as out. I did give them a bunch of hay in the alley that the alpacas seemed not to like. Maybe too dry from last year? They seem to be making day nest areas in that.

Re the alpacas. I have been giving them quite a bit more of their maintenance pellets and sweet feed pellets in the cold weather compared to their summer "snacks". Not nearly enough to not need the hay though. Probably no more that 2 cups per day each.
