My leukemia's back.

But the "sales pitch" goes both ways, and was about 1. how the doctors pass out too many pain pills, 2. and those that got addicted from 1 prescription, and not being able to get a refill, so they moved on to harder, illegal, street drugs. If they can't get a refill, then the doctors are not passing them out like candy. The scenario presented does not apply to the majority of people, but once again, it's the majority that is being forced to bear the brunt of the penalty. They still haven't figured out that some are going to use illegal drugs, no matter what they do.

It's not any easier to become an addict then it is to become a alcoholic.
noone is gonna get addicted from one script...... Except the people who would become addicted to anything.
Yep. And you don't know if you are one of those people until you are addicted. That is why I figure it is best to just avoid them unless nothing else has worked. As I said, they move my brain outside my head and I do NOT like that feeling. Pretty certain I'm not one predisposed to addiction.

bruce, I've heard that from quite a few people that they don't like that feeling, so they don't really like pain killers. With me, when the stuff is being used for pain, I don't notice the "floating" feeling much. It's when the pain is more under control, and I'm still to take them to keep the pain under control that I notice the "floating" feeling more. I don't really like that floating feeling either.

I understand your concerns..... My point and trust me I know a lot about addiction.
If someone is able to get addicted from a five day prescription..... They are most likely already addicted to something.
I also don't know what that "floaty" feeling is.
If I take too much pain meds I just get sleepy...... Problem I have is my transplant has left my kidneys in bad shape..... There's no other alternative for me...... Simple ibuprophen sets my kidney function all wacky......
