My leukemia's back.

Hope everyone here is good.... I'm finally done with my big problem project. Hopefully I can get around here a bit more now. As the snow piles up.....(we got about a foot here).... And things slow down.

Sorry to hear about the cold Phil, hope you're feeling better soon!

Do you still have your ducks?

Pretty little birds! It's not the worst thing to have girls, right?

OK, going out to finish setting the garden tractor for the snowblower!

Geez, most want hens, pay extra for hens and you get theirs and they get your drakes.

Phil have you ever tried the face masks? Not the drugstore ones, the ones for outdoor cold weather. They made all the difference when I used to walk FAR, even through the winter. When I had them on in bitter cold temps, I would have to lower them now and again, to cool off. What a shock to realize how very cold it was without them.

Serius brand I think made the best ones, neoprene with a some fleecy kind of backing. I wore them in the house when needed (have heat turned down for economical reasons) and they were great. There are also polyester fleece ones that might be better for indoor use. They wash & dry very fast.

In either case they noticeably warm the air you are taking in- so very much kinder to your lungs. I've tried to get my brother to use them outside but, of course he would NEVER listen to a woman. It would benefit his heart but  .
Sometimes Kohls has the fleece ones, and sporting stores have the neoprene etc.

You can also find balaclavas generally in mens dept which serve as a hat and covers nose, mouth and ears etc. I'm petite and can't find any small enough for me - the kids ones are too tight.

If you could guess at your size, I would be glad to look for a couple for you. They are adjustable with velcro .Bus is supposed to take us to another shopping center Wed. with a bigger, nicer Kohls. BYC people are important to me. Plus WED. is senior discount day, etc.

Had to get some for my sister in NM, she was born and raised in Chicago area and weathered many winters but as soon as she moved, she decided the NM winters were too severe for her. What ????
