That sounds horribly stressful.Thank you. Hoping she can eat before dialysis! She needs those calories, or this could happen there. Not sure what they would do.
That is sad!Oh my goodness. My poor sister went through heck ..waiting ..for her turn for surgery. One person was ahead of her, but, an emergency came in. She checked in at 11..was supposed to go in at 1:20. She did well until around 2. Then she started to act strange. No food of course that morning/day. By 3, well, let's just say, she lost it. She was yelling she wanting to go home. She was scared didn't know what was going on on, she says, I'm hungry! I'm thirsty. I want this thing ..Out! .. (IV) Her caregiver was there, we both got up to get a nurse..I said, I bet she pulls it . She did. It took 4 trys to get that thing in ..in the beginning.. because of her tiny tiny veins. I'm not sure, but it sure seems she was acting like her sugars were low. She was not acting right at all. She can get an attitude, but she was being so repetitive when she first started acting strange. ... I wonder where my Dr. is. I wonder who he is. I'm scared. It was hard to watch. The surgery didn't go as planned. He had to start the Fishula in her wrist, not just below her elbow area. Her veins are so Tiny..hoping this works. She may need a Cath port in the neck..not only because of her tiny veins, but because he..the surgeon, just found out how fast her numbers are dropping. He said he's going to call her nephrologist to see what he thinks. Talked to Lisa this morning, she's back to our sweet Lisa. Something..about no food I think. She thanked me for coming yesterday. We finally got out of .. same day surgery...around 6:30. It was good to hear her feeling better this morning.
Room, a classmate had a 3 or 4 way bypass a few weeks back about the first of the year, one was either 98 or 99 percent blocked. he lived because they barely caught it in time. and almost by accident! He wasn't feeling well and someone asked the right question and ran 1 test along the lines of a heart problem just in case and it was his heart.
Hopefully home to his house and not Home to the Lord yet! That’s a lot like what happened to him. He had a bad case of bronchitis. He went back into the ER because he thought it had gone into pneumonia, but his enzymes were really high & it’s all snowballing from here. They wanted to do surgery already, but they can’t because he’s severely anemic & they don’t know why. They’re giving him IV blood transfusions & iron & will give him the upper & lower GI tomorrow to see if there’s blood loss anywhere. Poor guy just wants to go home.
