My leukemia's back.

bruce, that's the way it was when I went to school. We had 1 teacher, and 1 classroom in each grade I was in, except for music. We didn't to the multiple teacher/classroom thing until Jr. High, which is now called Middle School.
My Youngest had team teachers in grammar school. She is 20 now so it is a fairly recent thing in the lower grades. The older dds did not have team teachers

At 5th. grade we started having science class with a different teacher (a pretty wacky one too), we would go to the library and get French lessons, we had a male teacher for - not sure what it was called. He had us make something with the sewing machine, showed us something about tools and we made a candy dish out of clear plastic that had to be heated., and a small rack to hold house keys. He was the only male teacher and the girls and maybe me:cool: drove the poor man nuts. I remember Mr.Hoff.

We did have classroom teacher and she took over everything else. for the semester.
Each year we got a new teacher.

We had a music teacher who went on and on about Stephen Foster and how she loved the "darky music." I figured out what she meant but, didn't like that expression. Also had a physical ED. teacher . I liked the kids at school very much. They were a very nice group and didn't bully or make fun of anyone.

In 2nd and 3rd grade I had one classroom, the classroom (and all the others too) had a door to the outside.

Between each class period you got to run outside for 10 minutes, then come back inside for the new class and teacher.

Each class was a different teacher.

PE was mostly swimming. But we had to learn dance, and music (we were taught to play a recorder), and singing. And take dictation with a fountain pen in a notebook where you could not tear out pages... and used a blotter paper of course to blot the ink.

Al, I have several working fountain pens. It's rare that I use them anymore. With email, I don't have to write, and send letters. With text messaging, I don't even have to write notes very often. I mostly write grocery lists, or notes to myself, if I'm actually writing. It's not like years ago, when I wrote letters to many family members, and friends.

Yep, Bruce, they sure would. Plus with all the cat and dog hair I have to deal with it would make one pass, cough, flip over on it's back and promptly die.
With its little wheels quivering, then nothing.

Al are you SUBSTANTIALLY older than the rest of us and had your kids really REALLY late in life or are those boys actually your grandchildren?)?

Ha! Time travel!

Yeah, dictation, in cursive, in second grade, with a fountain pen.

Well... I didn't use ink wells, the fountain pens had cartridges. :lau
