My leukemia's back.

I woke up this morning with charlie horse type leg cramps. Been awhile since I've had one of those.

Last night, I ate my first solid food. I opted for plain grilled fish, no breading, no spices on it, cooked carrots, and mashed potatoes.
I am sorry you had Charlie horse cramps! It does make sense though-- not eating solid food would mess up your electrolytes.

Isn't cramping often a potassium imbalance??

:idunno

So difficult keeping up with the needs of our bodies as we age! Our bodies no longer absorb nutrients like they used to.

:hugs

@getaclue I hope you sleep well tonight!
Potassium, magnesium are the two common electrolytes that cause cramping.

My butt is still a little bruised from the last infusion, my arm is still very bruised from the blood draw, and where my tooth was pulled still hurts, and is swollen. The old gray mare isn't healing, or recovering as quickly from this. With the leg cramps on top of it, I sort of feel like I'm falling apart. I know, this too shall pass, but dang it, it's slow.

I have mentioned that my neighbor is a dog trainer. The cancer center allows dogs into certain areas a few days a week, depending on what the dogs are there for. There are strict rules, of course. There are a couple of them that diagnose, and pinpoint cancer, when all else fails. Not all dogs are capable of this, but the few that are able to do this, are special. The other dogs they allow are comfort dogs. They help ease tension for patients.

The last time I was there, I recognized one of the dogs. Of course, the dog recognized me immediately. While I had never met the owner in person, he was very aware me, and the role my granddaughter has played in his dog's training. My neighbor sent videos of us with his dog, in the e-mails to him. The dog is back for further training, and my neighbor has been having us bring the dog to our home for 1 hour visits each day.

I was informed that if I will give him notice of when I'll be at the cancer center, he'll be glad to bring the dog. I thought that was very nice of him.
