Today is the anniversary of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.Whiefish bay is just down the road a bit from here. I did not live up here when it happened but I remember that day. Man where does the time go?
It was one of those days you remember...like when Elvis died or John Lennon died...I'm too young to remember JFK ...

Today is my husband 's and my anniversary... I think we dodged the shipwreck, but I never knew this.
We got married on the opening day of hunting season and only half of my family showed up.
I guess it showed some true colors there.

The hatches weren't secured. The boat took on water. The lake was so rough that day.that when she took on so much water and got in between waves she broke on half. Lake Superior is no joke. She is one rough lake. But beautiful....I'll take some pics sometime. But that lake is rough and cold...the water in it is about as pure as you can get....like the ocean you can see way down into her clear water. None off the other lakes are so clear and I've spent time fishing all of them.

You should come out to California and go to Lake Tahoe!

It is one of the Clearest lakes in the World.

HB, I wish you the best finding a good doc. YOu're under the gun now, being sick and needing a doc. Urgent care to start?? So glad that DD dodged the strep bullet, no thanks to you MD office.
