My leukemia's back.

Big Boy is actually in Metals 3 in school. He's building a big-***** smoker from an old propane tank this year. He enjoys the welding but doesn't think he wants to make a lifelong career out of it. FIL was a career welder and his body is pretty worn out from it, it's more a young man's job I think. But, it's a great thing to know, for a job to get you by or simply to do things around the home. Honey knows basic welding and has saved us so much $$ by doing repairs or building things like the huge ramps he uses to load the tractor on the flat bed trailer.

I keep telling him I want some metal garden art, but I've not seen anything yet. I see folks make beautiful butterflies or frogs or whatever from metal. Maybe this summer he can make me some here at home. Thing is, my guys, bless their hearts, are willing to make things but don't have an artistic bone in their bodies. I'd have to literally draw out exactly what I wanted. But then I guess I'd get exactly what I wanted, wouldn't I?

Hoffman I got lucky and went to an older doctor in his 70's still practicing medicine. He ask if I would be a geannie pig for some test and what the heck. I was in my 20's and my life was a mess and my husband told me I needed to find out what was wrong cause he loved me. took me to a women's clinic in WY. Hormone imbalance-heriditary. came home and found the old dr. through my general practicier whom went to college with him. after being a test subject for a couple years and all results were the goofy ones. doc said don't try new meds. stay with what worked best. he's gone now and I believe doctors like him now are a very rare and far between.

So sorry to hear this. Godbless you!!!

You will be in my prayers.

Rachel I went into auto repairs because I had mouths to feed and always knew I could make a living ....and always did....welding is a skill you need to be a mechanic also.....and to be the best.....and I mean better than your peers....learn electrical...I went back to college while I was recovering from transplant.....got another degrees in electro-mechanical technology.....best thing I did......

Rachel, I'm gonna hijack your thread for a moment. I covet your prayers for my family. My hubby has been sick for 2 weeks with that nasty respiratory virus that's going around. He's been on Prednisone, Albuterol, and all of the OC meds to treat his symptoms. He's still got a cough that racks him to his toes. Back to work, after being out since before Thanksgiving (Thank God for some vacation time). But, he's still miserable, and really should be taking it easy. 9 y.o. GD had it and had a fever for 10 days in spite of abx. 14 y.o. GS now has it. This kid has a rock solid immune system and never gets sick. He slept all day, has hardly eaten since Saturday, got up long enough for some Jello and Ibuprofen, and is back in bed. Praying that I don't get it. The residents that I work with are frail to start with, this virus would be horrid for them.

LG, keeping you and your loved ones in my thoughts and prayers. I hope everyone is well soon (and that you don't get it)
