My leukemia's back.

Good morning, everyone.

Good morning...I've got eggs in the incubators now. Last night I was crying and almost tossed the entire shipment of eggs and the incubators. So frustrated with 50 different sites telling me 50 different things and 2 incubators with multiple temp and humidity meters all saying different things. I just want to put the whole shipment under a heating pad cave and walk away.

Too many cooks are spoiling your hatch?
Pick one and stay consistent.
Is there Kendra news? or did I miss it? I have been looking for it on the other threads... but you are more prolifically ..um.. 'around', than I am. I try to keep my thread obligations to a minimum.
Also, My son put a grammar checker on the computer, and now it takes even longer for me to type a reply because I have to go back and insert verbs and stuff.
Who needs verbs?

The best thing to do is to let the incubator do the work for you.

Incubating is about averages. If you stay average, you will have a good hatch. The other stuff is there to try and tweak a percentage or two more on the hatch rate. You can ignore nearly all of it!

incubating needs an average temperature of 99.5 internal temperature for the eggs.
Humidity that allows development of the air cell--between 30 and 55% is average
Ventilation, especially at the end of incubation.
adequate turning-three times a day for the first 17 or 18 days

The rest is fluff!

Don't pay any attention to me. I'm just whiny and grouchy today. Stressed out from trying to do these eggs, trying to swallow a new label for Kendra which I refuse to accept, worried about the kids traveling in this weather.......

Right now I'm so crabby I don't even like me. <sigh>

Fer sure. Verbosity is overrated.

I hope you get it sorted and have a great hatch. The only time I bought shipped eggs, I had a bunch of broodies to slip them under. Though I have hatched my own eggs (sometimes with good results, sometimes not), I have never tried it with eggs that I paid for.

And Kendra is still the same person you have always loved, whatever pigeonhole someone else tries to shove her into.

Ronott is right - just follow the basics and the eggs should do fine. Mine seem to do better the less that I mess with them - unless they are shipped eggs - then all bets are off and I assume none will make it and most of them don't. (Still need to find a high-altitude source of eggs!)

You know it doesn't matter what Kendra is labeled with, but those diagnoses can help get correct medications and therapies that she might nit be eligible for without that "tag". She's still the same beautiful little girl you know and love.
