My leukemia's back.

Hmmm At mine we just turn the darn thing off. I learned the hard way that there are too many pharmaceutical ads than are good for little kids! You guys remember the story of Evan, right? Can't remember if I told it here or not - I know it was somewhere on BYC......

Here even Miss Kendra gets down from the table, puts her breakfast and lunch dishes in the sink, puts orange peels or paper towels or whatever in the trash, then waits at the sink for me to rinse off her dishes. Then I open the dishwasher and she puts her dishes in herself. When she's all done she looks up at me, smiles, and says, "I DID it!" Katie and Evan also clean up after themselves here.

Phil, good for you telling her your concerns. Now let's just pray that everything goes well on Wednesday and I just KNOW you'll let us know, right?

@silentwayne welcome!

Phil - good about the talk.

About family, I can relate. I love to see them come, but it's nice to get 'my house' back again. We had a fun day with our family, and then half went home. The other half will go home tomorrow, and then it will be the Princess, the dog, and Me.

It's funny because that crap didn't happen in my house when my kids grew up...love my grand kids but they have their parents wrapped around their fingers....last night when the grandkids stayed here I had no issues....Claire tried acting up I made it clear I would have no part of it.....she didn't try throwing a fit the rest of the night...and it was pleasant....and she wants to stay again tonight.
As soon as her parents got here this morning....she threw a fit....and they caved and she got her way....okay enough whining from me....sorry this is just something that's been bothering me.
Yes my wife seams really to understand now how hurt her actions where to me....and from now on she will go to the Dr's if something like that happens again....I'm hoping her appointment goes well...:fl

Anyone got big plans for Easter?
We just had our Easter dinner tonight as my son needs to go home tomorrow.
We did Prime Rib...bacon wrapped asparagus....and baked potato.

Sounds great. DD2 was supposed to come down, but with the big snow in Denver and more expected this weekend, we agreed it's not worth the risk.

So I'll just be watching the incubator, which is not a bad thing. :)

We had to go up to Billings today to run some errands, then decided to get a late lunch and call it good for the day. Just as we pulled into Red Lobster, Kenny, Jenny and the girls pulled up, so we ate together. We did lobster, crab legs, shrimp scampi, coconut fried shrimp, mussels and taters, salads, green beans, broccoli, and I even had a frozen margarita. With salt. Lots of salt. The mussels were for Katie and Kendra. Yuck! But I suppose they'd be alright if I closed my eyes so I couldn't see what I was eating. And added salt. Lots of salt.

Wife is better today Rachel....had some serious talk with the wife today....she understands now how selfish her behavior was....her check up is Wednesday.
Speaking of spoiled kids I'm sitting here watching my kid let his kids run his life....I'm ****** cuz I can't even watch my own TV or anything else because my granddaughter doesn't want to......my kids didn't get to do that....yeah I'll be so relieved tomorrow when I have my house back....also I'm in day seven and the few eggs I have candled look real good.
Phil, glad your wife is better. Glad you were able to make her understand how her actions affected you. Kids and grand kids... can be quite the challenge. I am 2.5 months away from having an empty nest. It won't be permanently empty, I'll still have 1 - 2 kids every other week end. But, it'll be mostly empty. Not bad for a 60 y.o. broad, huh??? I can't wait. My 14 y.o. grand son asks what we'll ever do when he moves out. Hubby just looks at him, and winks. Grand son runs from the room with hands over his eyes!

I shouldn't have whined about do much today...but I was just too tired and irritated....love my kids but sometimes nerves and be stretched...empty nest was the worst thing at first. But now it seems so peaceful....my daughter is spending the night tonight. We just watched that movie..."The Martian".....I recommend it....thanks everyone for your support the last few days and for listening to my crabby butt tonight...good night...love you all....Phil

Is that because everyone is in bed?? Well, HAPPY EASTER, everyone!! Remember you are loved!

Rachel, My eggs are in lockdown! Hoping to get the message that they are hatching tomorrow! The incubator is at another wonderful house in a new friend's new cabinet incubator. So I can't touch them or be tempted to help or peek or get the first hatches out while the others are pipping....

So we wait.
Hope everyone has a good night's sleep!
