My leukemia's back.

Rachel, awesome news!!! Thanks for the advice Old Grey Mare. I tried to give you an ovation, but it wouldn't let me.. I'll try to implement a plan like you said. Larger to smaller stone.

You all have a good day. I was tired and hit snooze one too many times. Fishing on Sunday!!!!! :weee

I'm fishing tomorrow too!!!!
yay!!!
Pics?...i haven't really caught anything I wanted to take pics of lately..... Good eaters but I've got enough fish I'm not keeping anything but walleye and they aren't cooperating...

I'm back!

Started the drive (me in my little Kia Soul pulling a 5x8 trailer) on Sunday and got here Thursday late afternoon. Haven't quit running around since getting out of the car, lol. So much to do, but this job of DH's is a true god send and I get a part-time job out of the deal too. We love it here! Beautiful mountains & foothills, antelope, deer, lots of wild birds, a river running right next to us and the golf course is gorgeous (or will be once DH does his magic). Here's a link to our new "home" if you'd like to see:

Gotta run and get the pro shop set up, I just finished moving all the merchandise from storage and need to organize it. The course opens this coming Saturday and tons to do.

I've missed you all and hope everyone has been doing well (happy 18th to Echo and congrats to all with new chicks!).

You will be living on a Golf Course?

We have a couple of that type of housing development here. A new trend is to build a housing development around a Farm! In Davis California there is a brand new one called the Cannery, built around a Farm. It is supposed to draw in the sustainable crowd.

Keep us posted on what you think about living there. Wyoming was listed as the best place to retire to. I will be retiring in about 4 years so am looking....

Welcome home, Debby! Glad you made it safe and sound. Talk about the perfect time for such a move, I'll bet Wyoming is beautiful this time of year, and you're fleeing the heat and humidity. Sounds like a win to me!

Big Boy brought home his smoker yesterday. It's been his project all school year in his Metals Fab class. I'll try to get pics up today as we work on getting it up and running.

We got the tiller hooked up to the tractor last night ( I'll let you guess how many bad words that took

) and got the first passes of the garden tilled. It needs another few runs, and I've got a second area I want him to till while the tilling's good. I get to get my garden planted this weekend

Glad everyone's ok! I am off work the next two and supposed to be decluttering and cleaning then heading south to see my mom and brothers. Please pray. It was NOT a good visit last time ending with being threatened to calling the the police by my angry brother. My mother was stressed and said many unkind things about my family, my children and my husband. I swore I would never go back but I don't want it to end that way after years of rebuilding a relationship. So please pray. Hoping with less people and less time and less stress and me renting a car in case I need to leave, It will work better this time.
My daughter and I are going back to the Dominican Republic this summer!!! YEA!! We both are excited about returning and nervous due to needing to raise the money- $3,500!

I hope God has a few sheep or a cow he can sell!
AARgh,,, where did the time go?? Hugs!

hbh - hoping for a good visit for you. You are giving it a proper try. If things go bad - leave. Sometimes we have to cut our losses. I did this with one sister the day my mother died, and have no regrets.

Rachel - looks pretty neat. What are you smoking or you just 'seasoning' the smoker?

Sending lots of good wishes and prayers all goes well with your visit. Hats off to you for trying but if things get ugly, remember to be good to yourself first.

Good luck raising the funds for your DR trip this summer! I haven't been there but my brother loved visiting there.

Take care!

We live in one of 3 little cabins about 1 mile from the course. The actual small town where everyone else lives is about 6 miles away. Trying to catch their post office open has been a trick, lol. The only neighbors around are the little ground squirrels in our tiny back yard, the antelope and deer that wander onto the course and I've been told a few rattlesnakes and coyotes hang around too. It's great not to have any one living right around the course...no one to complain when the mowers start up early.

If you get to wondering what WY is like, you should talk to Blooie...she's lived in the NW part (I believe) for years and can probably tell you just about anything you might like to know.

I know I'm loving it so far!
