When I make brownies, I put dollops of PB on top of the batter in the pan, and then swirl a knife through it to marble it. MY dtr uses cream cheese and sugar to make a kind of cheese cake marble to go through the brownie mix. Coffee IMO just might kick up the chocolate flavor a notch, and perhaps make them a bit more moist.

Just straight peanut butter? Not mixed with anything? I could get behind that, I'm sure.....
