Good morning Rachel. What day are we on? I am dropping off BYC for an entire week due to a far away training class I am attending. You will be in my prayers each day and when I come back, the countdown will be 7 days less
. Take care. You've got a lot of people out here rooting for you!
Good morning Rachel - and Team Rachel. No hummingbird photo today. Instead I wanted to post the results of the St. Baldrick's fundraiser held in Brandon, South Dakota on Thursday. I know I said this is Rachel's page and Rachel's story and wouldn't be about Ashley, but these photos are just oozing support and love for all those suffering from cancer. Little Ash was one of the sponsored children, and at this annual event they raised close to $80,000 for childhood cancers.
L to R Ashley's cousins Megan, 14, and Tommy 16, Ashley's dad Chad and her mom Jenna, and another cousin, Derrick.
Jenna and Megan in the "hot seat". You can see what Megan gave up with a smile on her face and love in her heart.
Ashley and her beautiful mom!
This is what Team Ashley does for her. This is what Team Rachel does for you, we hope! And from the way you describe your family, you are surrounded by this kind of unquestioned love all of the time. You, my friend, are going to be just fine!
I don't know about the weather where you are Rachel, but if it is like my weather, all you are missing is more rain and mud up to my ankles. Hoping for sunshine for you!
Enola, I'm in the same boat with you. It got above freezing this week.
Enough so, that the paths have turned to an incredible mud pile. Every time I slog to the coop, I'm afraid my boots will be sucked off! But, the snow persists. Still 2.5' where the snow blower hasn't been. And an other 8" due tonight. Oh JOY! So, Rachel, you ain't missing much, as far as weather goes.
