My leukemia's back.

Hi @sourland

What's happening in your part of the world today?

NFL, frankly I don't know. A dachshund club is using the beagle club to hold a field trial - I may go down there and give them a hand for a bit, but a lot of them are show people and tend to be a bit on the uppity side - that does not work well with me. Yardwork is pretty much caught up so no need to do that. My back is acting up, but I may go for a run anyway - Nothing planned - that's unusual. I can always spend all day planning what to make for supper and drinking coffee.

I vote for that plan! Sorry to hear about your back. I've had issues with mine for years so understand what it's like, no fun. You take care of it and I hope it's better quickly.

Here's to that 2nd (or 3rd) cup of coffee, cheers!

Do we have a pair of suspenders for that, Team? Yeah, probably. I used to hate the uppities when I was showing and training dogs for the field. But a cockleburr is a cockleburr no matter what kind of fancy or plain dog you're trying to remove those pesky things from, and the poop still sticks to your shoes. So I was never sure where those folks got that attitude.

Or the designer clothes that they wear to a field event. Mind you, there are mostly good people who make up for those with attitude, but complaints and snide comments from 'guests' tend to grate. This particular group is New England based and for the most part Good folks.

I don't know why this made me think of Sourland and the Princess, but ya'all are who popped in my mind when I saw this.....

I was sitting in traffic at a long, long light and had a few minutes to watch a couple walking down the sidewalk. A mature couple, and their beagle-type dog. She was walking a step or two behind him, and holding the leash for the dog. However, that dog was definitely with the man, he was on perfect heel with him. You could just tell, far as that dog was concerned, it didn't matter who had the leash, the man was who he was with. Then the light changed....just a brief glimpse into someone's life that made me smile, about how loyal dogs are. Sometimes a moment just sticks with you.

Weather is nice here today, not too warm, not too cold. I'm going to get off my be-hind and go outside and be productive!
