Morning all! You guys getting a late start this morning? Rachel, every bit of good news just makes me grin all over!

I've got my bed made, second load of laundry running, chickens fed and watered, first eggs brought it, Kendra cathed and dressed, and the floors done. Of course, I do the floors every single morning no later than 6:45 am, because Kendra gets here shortly after that. Since she spends so much time crawling on the floor or falling on her little hiney if she tries to walk, I am overly cautious when it comes to the floors. Oh, and I got last night's dishes done. Made me some eggs last night

and by the time I was done all I had energy for was rinsing everything and dealing with it later - as in today. Tell me, why does morning always seem to interrupt a good night's sleep?

After reading that, I need a nap.

I went outside with high expectations of processing the last 6 roos. Hubby sharpened the knife for me again last night. Well. It took me over 2.5 hours to process 2 birds, and by the time I got to the second one, it was stiffer than a board. I worked hard on that one! So, I just had to call him and ask what he did differently when he sharpened the knife last night. Must have put a wrong angle on it. I'm frustrated b/c was expecting to sail right through the last 6 birds without a hitch. So, I'm left feeding them AGAIN, had to clean up, only to set up and repeat the process again tomorrow.

Not mad at him... mad at the process!!!

Nope, not incorrect - just incomplete! Lots more to you than "quiet and reserved", and every bit of it valuable.

Ladies..or gentlemen..or whoever knows...
My mother in law gave me this really nice cotton sweater, but it has this closet stain on it. I will try to post a picture, but i am unsure if it will show up.
Anyhow, I have tried a vinegar wash. I have not tried bleach yet.. there are several pieces like this.
Any ideas? I might just dye everything a dark color. But that might be a waste of dye.

When we see who is still living here after the swap, I'm determined to process a cockerel myself. I've always tag teamed with Honey, but I just feel I need to do one myself.

I've got two sick guys here today. Maybe it's a good thing I have appointments tomorrow and Friday, in case they're home sick. I'll be out of the house. maybe go out for lunch, who knows? Or have a few free hours to browse in the large bookstore

Rachel, sorry to hear you have a couple of sick guys in the house. I hope you don't catch anything from them. Going to a big bookstore (or even a little one) sounds like a wonderful idea!

We're driving down south toward Orlando today. DH has a definite job offer there and we want to check out the area. He also has a good possibility of a job offer here too (we'll know for sure Monday) so one way or the other, he'll be employed. The definite one down south would be a relocation for us, the possible one means we could stay here, at least for a while. I'm all mixed up with the pros/cons of either so guess I'll just have to trust the right thing for us will become apparent in the next few days.

I wish your family the best with the upcoming job changes. Hope that if a move is warranted that it will be a long term situation, and you'll actually find a place that meets your "farming" needs even better than your ideal situation you have now.
