My leukemia's back.

Yeah, I heard that too. But don't believe it.....here in Wyoming we only raise smart sheep. And fast cows. Witness a recent Cowley traffic jam. I pulled over in front of the post office, set the camera phone on the dashboard and let it go. At the end you'll see a lady on horseback herding them. Her name is Josephine Crosby, those are her cattle, and they run this cattle drive twice a year right through downtown...heading one way in spring and the other way in fall.

I lived in Elk Mt. ( half way between Laramie and Rawlins) for about 3 months years ago. hubby was working on ranch there. Place where a person could really feel they make a difference- population was 96 till we got there, 98 while we where there. Only problem I had there was they tried to give me a p.o. mail box number of "666". "Sorry", I told the lady, "You don't understand--I don't do that number". I never have figured out how the population was only 96 and the only box numbers available were "666" or "668" after I refused the previous. I got home sick for Louisiana and we come home. Still I liked it there.

I am a huge soup person... no wait. Odd visual- I am a person who makes a huge amount of soup.
I hate buying stock but I don't always have stock making things available when I need to make soup.
I pressure can a lot, but I have always been reluctant to can stock and meat.
I suppose if the beans and mushrooms have not killed us yet, I must be doing it correctly enough.
I freeze stock when I have extra, but then I forget about it until it is time to clean out the freezer.

I should buy roasters when they are on sale and make my own... or move closer to you and swap stuff out.
Actually I am getting so weary of Florida I might.
I was looking at pressure canners just yesterday!

I will likely get one soon. Is that peer pressure?

peer pressure happens at all ages. and is there any other size for soup than the biggest pot in house. Then you have to keep it on low so it doesn't bubble over.

Welcome to the best support group on the web! And the name - oh, the name! We have a turtle who lives under a bucket - long story, though!

I lived in Gautier, Mississippi for a time - too hot, too humid, and too many people for this girl.

Pressure canners are great! I've not used mine much since I've been diagnosed, but we've lived off what I'd had put up before that. I still have venison we should use......I'm getting stronger enough now I could probably can a batch of chili or such again. I love having those meals ready to go. I see folks buying soup in the grocery store and kind of shudder.
